launched Blacksmith Cellars in 2003 with the release of his Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Matt threw himself into every aspect of the winemaking process, from tending the grapes to pressing, blending, and bottling.
The result is an elegant wine that elebrates the artistry, craftsmanship, and tradition of great independent inemaking. "I wanted my first wine to be a top-quality, uncompromising Cabernet," he says. "This wine is everything I hoped it would be!"
The newest vintage of this exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon is now ready for release, and a limited supply of last year's remarkable, age-worthy vintage is still available.
